about

During a time where we stayed at home 🏠 this one actually travelled a wee bit. During the first lockdown in March 2020 Know Your Arrows was born a Chris Bonner bassline on his not so narrow boat in Leeds Dock βš“ It made its way over the Aire waves 🌊 where lyrics and melody then wrapped their way around it during morning walks through the rhubarb fields 🚜 of Ouzlewell Green with Cosmo the dog 🐩

We tried to come to terms with the global pandemic 😷 we reflected on life and purpose, thought about family and friends πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ. We'd considered upping sticks but the virus stopped us in our tracks. We took a good look around and had a word with ourselves. Know Your Arrows 🎯

Kez returned from making an 80s music tv series in Salford, layered more vocals from BramleyπŸŽ™ and then the track was mentally mixed on the road, the road to Rothwell during evening walks to Springhead Park πŸ–Ό

Sound advice was sought πŸŽ› big up Adi Mcnally, Lee Smith and Philip Marsden. Visuals πŸ“· via Barcelona by Jamie Allen in Devon. Know Your Arrows was mastered in Denby Dale by Joe Osborne 🎧

lyrics

Got to know, get to know your lines
Every day and each and every time
All I see is all I need

Get to know, got to know your arrows
And be the one to change the water level and
Do the count for the very last time

And if we're ever ever meant to recover
We are never gonna make it alive
And if we're giving up the ghost to another
We will never feel the weight on the line

Got to know, get to know your lines
I think about you every single time
All I see is all I need

Get to know, got to know your arrows
And be the one to change the water level and
Do the count for the very last time

And if we're ever ever meant to recover
We are never gonna make it alive
And if we're giving up the ghost to another
We will never feel the weight on the line
